United Way Work Day 2006

Well the morning started out very dark and rainy. 4 Sr. League youth & 1 friend (Janelle, Tyler, Shelbi, Krissy, & Krissy's friend Michelle) headed to the Hutchinson Zoo to do some weeding. The rain actually made it really easy to pull weeds. We all had a great time talking and weeding together! Janelle and Shelbi even made it into the newspaper! Check out their picture...



Next year I'm hoping we can get at least 3 groups from Emanuel to help out. The Hutch Zoo gives is free and gives so much to the community it is a great feeling to know that we were able to help them. I thank God for allowing me to spend time with the youth as well as help out the community.
